濕物料由皮帶輸送機或斗式提升機送入料斗,然后通過定量給料器、料管進入料箱及干燥機筒體內,干燥機筒是一個與水平線略成傾斜的旋轉圓筒,物料從較高一端加入,載熱體和物料以并流方式進入筒體內(也可逆流)隨著筒體的旋轉和筒壁上抄板的作用,以及物料受重力的影晌,物料抄起又灑下,使物料與氣流接觸表面增大,以提高干燥速率并促進物料前行,使物料運行到岀料口外,濕物料在筒體內移動過程中,直接同截熱體進行熱交換,使濕物料得以干燥。
